Check your benefits as there is a strong probability I am covered through your private or marketplace behavioral health plan on a HIPAA compliant telehealth platform like MD LIVE.

Experience Matters
Licensed in Missouri, Illinois & Utah

I have over 27 years of combined experience as a hospice social worker and licensed mental health clinician. I see clients ages 19 and over.
My practice is specific to those issues of people who are challenged by workplace or life stress that leads to anxiety and depression, those facing chronic and terminal illness, grief, loss and the anxiety that can accompany cancer survivorship. I don't treat individuals who have a history of suicide attempt or ideation, substance or sexual abuse or long term use of opioids as I am not credentialed to do so and you deserve to be treated by someone who has the appropriate credentials to help you.
I trained with Dr. Ronald Siegel from Harvard Medical School on Mindfulness Based Psychotherapy practices. These skill sets complement my work as a therapeutic coach.
In a coaching relationship, we work together to enhance and maximize your performance in a specific area as quickly as possible. In certain instances, I combine movement, healthier behavioral changes and nutrition education to assist you in meeting your long term and short term goals.
In psychotherapy, we are working together to change challenging behavior patterns and enhance your personal potential as it relates to your relationships and who you desire to be.
Healthy living skills are an important part of my client's treatment plans whether they choose coaching or psychotherapy. If you are unsure what type of therapeutic assistance you need, I can share with you a coaching contract as well as as a behavioral health intake so that you can make the best decision for your needs.
I build on my skills as a therapist by completing 15+ hours annually of continuing education in psychotherapy, yoga and mindfulness based practices; far more than the 15 hours annually my licenses require. I am Certified as a Tele-health mental health provider through my practice and tele-health platforms that bill your insurance directly (check out your tele-health benefits for this information). Most EAP's will approve telephonic or closed circuit video counseling, Skype counseling is NOT private and not a legal option for therapists. I can be reached by telephone at 314-920-6542 or secure e-mail: charli@charliprathercounseling.com for counseling inquiries. I accept a large number of Illinois, Utah & Missouri EAP programs.
